About the Artist
Vaishali is the only female artist
from Pune to have been bestowed with the honour of the National Academy
Award. Her expressions find way through assorted mediums of which Fabric
Assemblage is her niche. Apart from that she experiments with papier-mâché,
plays with water colours as well as installation art.
Although she has lived in Pune city all her life, her heart craves nature
which inspires all her artistic moves. Her works carry within her a nurturing
force, which travels through them all over the world. Perhaps alongside
her work, this special force is also what her Indian and European patrons
and collectors take with them.
