Waves art gallery enters its fourth phase of exhibiting graphic art by an assortment of contemporary Indian artists. The first three phases of this series featured a variety of Graphic Art such as Lithographs, Etchings and Serigraphs. However,'Contemporary Graphics IV' opening on the 2nd October 2009,
in particular features Serigraphs by Bengali artists.

Artists who will not miss the viewers eye alongside others, are masters K.G. Subramanyam and Sanat Kar. Subramanyam's minimalistic signature brush strokes pierce through the anguished being of a woman. While Kar's simplified lines run through multiple faces emerging as an organic
form. Other artists making an appearance, to name a few, are Prasanta Sahu, Pulak Dutta and Rishi Barua.

The gallery, is of the opinion that, Graphic Art is a good start for those who are beginners in terms of art investment. Since each serigraph comes in a limited edition signed by the original artist, one need not worry about reproductions of the print. The price of the work is divided among number of prints
in the particular edition and so is comparatively a smaller investment than a canvas by the same artist would be. The show is part of the gallery's interest in promoting Graphic Art and awareness to Pune.
