'Hale & H'arty' displays at Waves Art Gallery from 5th-13th June 2009 photographs and canvases of the event 'Healing Strokes' in order to recreate the experience for patrons.

'Healing Strokes' is a concept that appeals to the benevolence of common man through Art. This joint venture between Global Vision Foundation and Waves Art Gallery brought art and awareness for public health to the streets. Three giant size canvases and an open invitation to come and paint in order to show support to the chronically ill. Instead of gathering signatures on a piece of paper, one leaves their mark on a canvas! The event held at the Aurora towers corner in Pune brought together people from all sections of the society without discrimination. While Waves Art Gallery is motivated to bring Art back to common man, Global Vision Foundation toils with their Care Plus project to spread the message of 'Prevention is better than cure'. The medium facilitates unison of voices to be heard more effectively than a signature campaign. This innovative Endeavour takes the message straight from the cradle of the eye down to the heart. By not using linguistic elements the nature of the project is universal and has the ability to unite people from all socio-cultural backgrounds.
